Some Assembly Required performed Oliver’s octet Krummholz Variations April 21 at the Salem Old Town Hall, April 22 at the Korean Church of Boston, and April 23 at the All Newton Music School. Here are a few photos from the weekend.
Live Stream Tonight: Hope College Wind Ensemble
Tonight at 7:30pm, the Hope College Wind Ensemble will live stream their performance of Oliver’s octet Krummholz Variations. Watch it HERE. The program also includes Gabe Southard’s arrangement of Rimsky-Korsakov`s Symphony No. 2 “Antar,” and David Maslanka`s Symphony No. 4.

The innovative chamber ensemble Some Assembly Required will present the Boston premiere of Oliver’s Krummholz Variations, with three performances in Salem, Cambridge and West Newton. Hope College Winds perform “Krummholz Variations”
Premiere performances of Krummholz Variations continue: the Hope College Wind Ensemble will present the Midwest debut in Holland, Michigan. The Boston Music Intelligencer reviewed Juventas’ “Music in Flight” program and wrote about Oliver’s music: Oliver Caplan’s You Are Not Alone, scored for violin, cello and piano, then had its East Coast premiere.
