The Ensemble is part of a nationwide consortium of ensembles that commissioned\u00a0<em>Krummholz Variations<\/em> as a companion piece for the unique instrumentation of Stravinsky&#8217;s beloved\u00a0<em>Octet<\/em>: flute, clarinet, 2 bassoons, 2 trumpets and 2 trombones.
