Memorial Day Weekend, the American Wild Ensemble<\/a> will take Oliver\u2019s newest work The Emerald Necklace<\/em> on the road to New York City! The Emerald Necklace was co-commissioned by the American Wild Ensemble with Landscape Music<\/a>, Michigan Tech Department of Visual and Performing Arts<\/a> and Juventas<\/a> for Lungs of the City: Olmsted\u2019s Parks in Music<\/strong>, a nationwide celebration of Olmsted\u2019s bicentennial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program features 8 world premieres, each inspired by an Olmsted design. Oliver\u2019s work the Emerald Necklace will be performed alongside new pieces by Nell Shaw Cohen<\/a>, Michael-Thomas Foumai<\/a>, Libby Meyer<\/a>, Ayumi Okada<\/a>, Justin Ralls<\/a>, Christina Rusnak<\/a> and Ryan Suleiman<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
