Critically acclaimed, the piece was a Finalist for both the American Prize in Chamber Music Composition and the Cum Laude Music Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oliver is dedicating the 9\/26 performance to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, writing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Her role in the Supreme Court\u2019s 5-4 affirmation of marriage equality changed our lives\u2014and the lives of countless couples nationwide \u2014forever.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Composer Oliver Caplan on his work Love Letters\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3lx_DOZjaio?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Oliver discusses <em>Love Letters<\/em> and his dedication to Ruth Bader Ginsburg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The program also includes works by Allison Loggins-Hull, Mari Kotskyy, Derrick Spiva Jr., Jessica Meyer and Miguel del Avila.<br><br>The event will be live-streamed on YouTube at 8pm on September 26.
