TEMPO New Music Ensemble will perform Oliver’s chamber work My Elephant Cloud (flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano), inspired by summer days spent outdoors in New England. American Prize Special Citation
Oliver was awarded a special citation for the American Prize in orchestral composition, “celebrating the variety and vitality of American Composers of works for orchestra. The recognition is for his work “Journey the West,” co-commissioned by Chinese Symphonic Masterpieces at Harvard University and the Bronx Arts Ensemble.
October 24: Brookline Symphony premieres “Fairsted: A Brookline Overture”
On October 24 the 75-piece Brookline Symphony Orchestra will premiere Oliver’s newest work Fairsted: A Brookline Overture.
