April 14 is Oliver’s debut as the Artistic Director of Juventas! He’s curated a program entitled Five Years Later: Songs of Hope & Resilience, commemorating the fifth anniversary of the Boston marathon bombings.

The concert promotes conversation and reflection on the 2013 tragedy through a global lens, with eight works by emerging composers that explore terrorism, loss and healing. It will include the world premiere of Oliver’s own piece Boston Strong, a setting of poetry by Richard Blanco. The music was commissioned by Chris Brown.
