Juventas New Music Ensemble will perform two of Oliver’s works–Connect All, We All Connect and Still With Me at First Baptist Church, as part of its free Neighborhood Series.

Connect All. We All Connect., from Oliver’s 2017 album You Are Not Alone, sets poetry by Master Palindromist Barry Duncan, about art and music’s role in fostering human connection. It was commissioned by Hornist Anne Howarth.

Still With Me, commissioned by Euphonium Frank Meredith, was written in memory of Meredith’s beloved dog Sandy.

Also on the program: music by Michael Donovan, Mary Montgomery Koppel, Emma Wine, Mari Kotskyy, Nyokabi Kariũki, Eric Whitacre, Andrew Porter and Gina Gillie.
