On July 20, Karen Lau, Brent Weber and Joseph Yungen will premiere Oliver’s newest piece Willow Spring Path at Music at Penn Alps in Grantsville, Maryland. Music at Penn Alps selected Oliver as the winner of its 2019 commission competition, from a pool of 124 entries.  Inspired by one of Oliver’s favorite walks in the Middlesex Fells Reservation, Willow Spring Path (saxophone, cello, piano) celebrates the unbridled optimism of springtime through three movements: Rippling Lake, Towering Pines, and Return of the Warblers.
