On June 1, Juventas will perform Love Letters (flute, clarinet, string quartet), the music Oliver wrote as a wedding gift for his husband Landscape Architect Chris Beagan. The piece is currently a Finalist for both the American Prize in Chamber Music Composition and the Cum Laude Music Award.

The concert, entitled Pride: Hand in Hand, commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and launch of the modern gay rights movement with music by LGBTQ+ composers.  In addition to Oliver’s piece, you’ll hear new works by Ingrid Stölzel, Diana Voyer, Emma Wine, Dennis Tobenski and Stephen Serpa.
