Sept. 29: Atlanta Contemporary performs “Fairhaven Bay”

September 24, 2018

The premiere performances of Fairhaven Bay continue this weekend with the Atlanta Contemporary Ensemble.  Oliver’s newest work, Fairhaven Bay (clarinet, cello, piano) was inspired by the legendary section of the Sudbury River, a favorite haunt of Thoreau. The music was composed for Landscape Music: Rivers & Trails, a nationwide concert series celebrating the 50th anniversaries of the National Trails Systems and Wild & Scenic Rivers Acts.

The program also includes music by Stephen Wood, Brent Lawrence, Libby Meyer and Christina Rusnak.
