New Music on the Bayou selected Oliver’s trio Connect All We All Connect (soprano, horn, piano) from its international call for scores.  Trio Mélange will perform the piece on June 3 at the festival’s finale concert in the Strauss Theatre Center.

Connect All. We All Connect. (lyrics by Barry Duncan) probes the strength and fragility of human connection. At times fragile and questioning, at times confident and affirming, the piece ultimately sounds a message that we are our best selves when we embrace heartfelt connection. The piece will be on Oliver’s upcoming album You Are Not Alone.
