Oct. 22: Indiana Wind Symphony performs “Krummholz Variations”

October 11, 2016

The Indiana Wind Symphony will perform Oliver’s alpine-inspired Krummholz Variations in Carmel, IN.  The ensemble is part of a 13-member consortium that commissioned the piece as a companion for the instrumentation of Stravinsky’s Octet (flute, clarinet, two bassoons, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones).

The program also includes music by Faure, Beversluis, Bird… and of course Stravinsky!
