The New Hampshire Master Chorale (Dan Perkins, Music Director) has commissioned Oliver to write a new work entitled Eve – Absinthe – Alice. This three movement choral piece sets poetry by author Ruth Kessler, written in the voices of three legendary women: Eve (from the bible), the Absinthe Drinker (from a painting by Degas) and Alice in Wonderland (from the beloved novel by Lewis Carroll). The ensemble will premiere the piece November 19 in Concord, NH and November 20 in Plymouth, NH.
