On October 24 the 75-piece Brookline Symphony Orchestra will premiere Oliver’s newest work Fairsted: A Brookline Overture. Commissioned by the Brookline Symphony Orchestra, Fairsted is a celebration of the Town of Brookline, Massachusetts and Frederick Law Olmsted, one of its most iconic residents.
The program also includes Sarasota’s virtuosic Carmen Fantasy for clarinet and orchestra, and the rarely performed Kalinnikov Symphony No. 1.
